Surf's Up
Surf was a big part of my growing up. I still remember as a young kid, in the late 60's, being mesmerized as I watched surfers cruising the waves of Ipanema Beach on longboards. It was like a ballet of sorts. By age 12 I stood for the first time on a surfboard. I have been surfing ever since up until a few years ago when I had a problem with my cervical spine, which made it really hard for me to paddle on a board. But I never ceased to be thrilled when surf's up.
